It seems that the terrorist group ETA is less than excited about the possibility of the Olympic Games coming to Madrid. In less than two weeks' time, the host of the 2012 Olympic Games will be announced, with Madrid vying against Paris, New York, London and Moscow. So what did the terrorists do a few days ago? Detonated a car bomb outside a Madrid stadium, the 70 000 seat stadium that will be the centrepiece of Madrid's Olympics, hosting both the opening and closing ceremonies. You know what I think of that?

In spite of George W's best efforts, gasoline is over two dollars a gallon in the US, and some of my American friends have said they've seen it as high a $3.00 recently. Here in Europe, it's even more expensive.
