Is that the sign of a real civilization? Speaking of beer, if you've been following the exchanges on my
I trust you know me better than to believe the things that woman has been saying about me.
This is weird.
From time to time I check my web statistics; how many people have been visiting The Savage Files, which countries they come from, which pages they viewed, what links they followed to get to my site, and so on. Well, a couple of months ago I noticed that readers had been paying an unusual amount of attention to one particular page from last year's journal archives. At that stage, the page was receiving ten times as many hits as any of the other archived pages, and this stood out in the charts. It is just a page about my visit to Las Vegas, one page just like the hundreds of others that can be accessed via the 'search journal'
function near the top left of the journal page. Today I checked my web traffic again, and was baffled to find that that one page had been visited 635 times last week. The only thing that I can put it down to is the mention of mud wrestling
at the bottom of the page. Ironically, that particular page is one year old today, and it's given me an idea to add a "where was I one year ago"
link on my journal page. If you click on the "where was I one year ago" image link above, follow the link to the story from the 3rd of October, in Las Vegas.
I've updated the comedy section of the website
with a few new photos in the funny photos and funny pictures slide shows, and also the funny stuff page. All this is accessible via links in the left hand column of the index page. If you receive any funny bits and pieces, and you have a mail group that you forward stuff to, feel free to add to to the list. If anything I receive meets my approval, I'll add it to The Savage Files comedy section. For now, have a look at this little beauty!
