Friday 4th June, Meknes, Morocco.
How'd you like those photos yesterday? Did you have a look at all the other pics on my Not So Savage Morocco page, or were you too lazy? I bet you were too lazy. On the subject of photos, I've found something on Ebay that would allow me to capture some much better shots. It's a little out of my league at the moment, considering the cash flow is only flowing one way, and my webhost have dug their claws in for as much blood as they can get since this website started to become much busier over the last few months. I've posted a photo on my wishlist, and if you would like to help out with the cost in a small way, you know where the Paypal button is. What do you mean, you don't know? It's on the journal page, below the most recent journal update. There's also another Paypal button on my 101 Ways You Can Help page. There's no excuse for not finding a Paypal button. Hell, I'll put one right here if you like.
Whenever I get the chance, I log onto the Lonely Planet website and check out the 'Thorn Tree' messageboard. Sometimes I find questions that I can answer, sometimes I find answers and advice that helps me. A few days ago, I found this little gem on the Morocco branch, and I thought I'd share it with you-
I'm thinking of heading over to Morocco. I've been wondering whether I should grow a beard or keep clean shaven. If you advice a clean shave (I will there in June if that makes a difference), should I bring my own razors & foam or is it more sensible to buy them over there? I've also been sent a very funny response to the 'GUY's RULES' that I posted last week. Rather than post it here, I'll attatch it to the bottom of the GUY'S RULES page. It should give you a chuckle. For now I'm off to the medina, to see a man about a couple of pairs of pantalons. It's just way too hot here for jeans, and if I find something I like at a price I can handle, I might even shell out for one of those big flowing robes, in preparation for my camel trip into the desert. Oops. I think that was going to be a surprise!
